AMTAL (Audit, Measurement and Testing of Assets on Line) is the tool we use to check our own commitments. It measures a live site across five axes - search, visibility inside generative answer engines, performance, accessibility, security hygiene - and returns a dated report where every finding is located, explained and fixable. It works on our own work as well as on any public site, which also makes comparison possible.
What the platform adds over a one-off audit comes down to one word: continuity. Every new audit is compared to the previous one, findings are classed as fixed, new, unchanged or not re-evaluated, and the scores draw a curve. A site is no longer judged on a snapshot, it is tracked.
Five axes, one scale
Search, generative visibility, performance, accessibility and security hygiene are measured together, on the same scale and with the same notion of evidence. The trade-offs that usually pit these subjects against each other become visible, quantified, and therefore arguable on facts.
Never a good score out of ignorance
When a signal is missing, the rule is declared not evaluated, and it is never counted as passed. A report therefore always states what it rules on and what it does not. That is the condition for a score to be shown to a client without misleading them.
Wired into the delivery chain
The same engine runs from the interface, from the command line, or inside a project's continuous integration pipeline. Measurement stops being an end-of-project exercise outsourced to a third party and starts travelling with the releases.
